Help plan for schools’ future

March 1, 2013 · Updated 3:52 PM

If you like to spend a lot of time with the school board, today, March 2, is your chance, as the board of directors for the South Whidbey School District is holding a long range planning meeting 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Whidbey High School Commons, 5675 Maxwelton Road.

This is the first of three planning committee meetings where a team of 24 members will develop a long-range plan for the district and then recommend a plan to the school board.

There is one board member on the team, Steve Scoles, and the remaining board members may be in attendance as an observer.

The meeting is open to the public.
