People sought for farm committee

To assist the Assessor’s Office with valuable information about the farming community, the Island County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants willing to serve on its Farm/Agriculture Advisory Committee.

Upon appointment, each member of the advisory committee shall serve a one-year term.

The five-member committee represents the active farming community within the county.

The committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the Assessor’s Office in implementing assessment guidelines as established by the Department of Revenue for the assessment of open space, farms and agricultural lands, and timber lands.
