Practice flights last to midnight around Central Whidbey

Field Carrier Landing Practice operations for aircraft stationed at NAS Whidbey Island are scheduled to occur at the Outlying Field south of Coupeville from Monday, March 25 through Friday March 29.

On March 25 and 26, FCLP’s are scheduled from late morning up to midnight. On March 27 and 28, FCLP operations are scheduled in the afternoon up to midnight. On March 29, FCLPs are scheduled from late morning into the afternoon.

Flight operations are subject to change due to weather, operational and/or training requirements. Updates or changes in FLCP operations at OLF Coupeville may be found on NAS Whidbey Island’s Facebook page.

The Navy describes OLF at Coupeville as a critical national security asset that provides essential training for Navy pilots based at NAS Whidbey Island to conduct safe and effective aircraft carrier flight operations around the world.
