"Visit 'eChoices' Check out careers and colleges from home with eChoices on the Internet. Many of the students have worked with the Choices program at school to do interest surveys and check out scholarships and colleges and trade schools. SWHS is pleased to provide this service for interested families to use at home. This service will be initially limited to 100 accounts. Interested parents are asked to call the school Career Center at 221-4300 ext. 5135 and leave your name and phone number to be included in this service.Four $1,000 scholarships are availableWashington Association of Educational Grants Managers have scholarships to award. Recipients must have received special assistance from Title 1, Title 1 Migrant, Learning Assistance Program, Bilingual, ESL, and/or Indian Education, shall have graduated from high school in good standing, and have demonstrated good citizenship and leadership qualities. Applications are available in the Career Center and are due Feb. 4.PTA scholarshipsThe Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation is awarding $55,000 to graduates from Washington State public schools who will be entering their freshman year at four-year colleges, community colleges, vocational or technical schools. Applications are available in the Career Center and are due March 1.HI-Q Team competitionContests begin Jan. 19 at Lakewood High School. The South Whidbey team has been studying Shakespeare, classics, math and geography. The home meet is on March 15."
