"Little League sign-up SaturdaySouth Whidbey Little League is holding another registration period Saturday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the primary school gym.This is the last time to sign up your slugger at the base registration rate. All registrations processed after this date will have a $10 late charge tacked on.Spring soccer sign-up arrivesThe South Whidbey Youth Soccer Club will hold open registration Wednesday and Thursday, March 1 and 2. Sign up in the South Whidbey Intermediate School Community Room from 5-7 p.m. each day.The club's spring program includes: U-6 for 4- and 5-year -olds; U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-15.The club will host a clinic with the Puget Sound Soccer Academy on South Whidbey March 25. Players and coaches can hone their skills and have some professional input on the game. Details will be available at signup.The club thanks the community for all the volunteer help that makes youth soccer possible. Early Release ski bus addedAttention Snow Riders -- an extra bus is being offered this year.Come join your friends for the Early Release Night Skiing Bus, Friday, March 3. This trip is available to anyone who wants to go:*Leaves Langley Middle School at 11:15 a.m.*Leaves South Whidbey High School at 11:30 a.m.*Will depart pass at 8:30 p.m.Cost is $20 for the bus only.
