"Register to vote in schools, parks election"

"South Whidbey residents who aren't registered to vote must do so soon if they want to vote in the school district and parks district elections on Tuesday, April 25.The deadline to register on South Whidbey is March 25, according to the Island County Auditor's Office. Registration forms are available at the Langley and Freeland libraries and in school offices.If you want to visit the Auditor's Office at the Courthouse in Coupeville, the deadline to register is extended to April 10.For questions about voting call the Auditor's Office at 321-5111.On April 25, the school district will resubmit to voters its levy request that barely fell short of the 60 percent support needed to pass in the Feb. 29 election.The parks district bond also garnered close to 60 percent in February. It will be resubmitted April 25 at a reduced level."
