Maxwelton Road, LangleyForms are available at the primary school, or call 221-6200 for information.Parents of pre-kindergartners: Mark your calendars for the South Whidbey School District's Kindergarten Registration Day, Tuesday, April 25. It's very important that parents of all prospective kindergarten students register their children on April 25, so we can adequately prepare for next year's staffing needs, said a school district staff member.Parents must bring to registration:* Birth certificate* Names and phone numbers of two people who live on South Whidbey to contact in case of emergency; a local South Whidbey doctor; parents' place of employment; daycare center the child will attend either before or after school (if applicable).* Dates of immunization (month, day, year)All immunizations must be up to date according to the following formula: 4 doses of DTP, DT, or TD with the last dose on or after the fourth birthday; 3 doses of polio vaccine with the last last dose on or after the fourth birthday; 2 doses of measles-mumps-rubella vaccine, 28 days apart and one on or after the first birthday; and 3 doses of hepatitis B vaccine.For children who need any of these immunizations, the Island County Health Department will offer its clinic across the street from the primary school on registration day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (Call 321-5111 ext. 351 for more information.)The school district will also be registering for full-day Kindergarten, for which a $300 monthly tuition is charged. If a child qualifies for the free/reduced meal program, free or reduced tuition is available on a limited basis. Call the primary school at 221-6200 for specific criteria and procedures.Parents with children who will be in the first or second grade next and who will be attending the primary school for the first time can register any time after April 25 in the primary school office. "
