Bayview to graduate 5 seniors in Thursday commencement

"Bayview School holds its graduation ceremonies Thursday, June 1, honoring five graduates this year. Receiving their diplomas are Lauren Campbell, Piper Nichole, Eve Preus, Sean Ritsma and Ryan Whitehead.Several of the graduates earned scholarships for post-graduate study. Nichole won a $1,000 scholarship from Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Preus, who plans to attend the University of Washington in the fall, received a $1,000 scholarship from the Island Arts Council, $500 from the Washington Alternative Learning Association, and $3,700 from the UW. Ryan Whitehead will go on to further schooling at the Seattle Art Institute in Seattle with a total of $3,140 from Soroptimist International, WALA, and the Alan G. May Vocational Scholarships.The school's graduation ceremony will take place at Bayview Community Hall starting at 4 p.m. The public is invited. A reception will be held afterward."
