Fire destroys mobile home

"A fire Aug. 2 destroyed a mobile home located at 1504 North Bluff Rd. near Greenbank.According to the report made by investigating Detective Robert Clark of the Island County Sheriff's Office, the man renting the mobile home was using a small gas camping stove. Somehow the flame flared up, and when he tried to toss the stove outside, It landed in the wrong place.The man, who was not identified, and other occupants escaped without injury. Central Whidbey firefighters responded but the single-wide mobile was a total loss. "
