Whidbey women turn to revolvers

The Central Whidbey Sportsmen’s Association, across from Morris Road just south of Coupeville, is having another class in its continuing education series: Women’s Firearm Safety, Revolvers Only.

The class is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to around noon.

No cost or pre-registration is required and there’s plenty of parking next to the clubhouse. Ranges will be open for instruction afterward.

Women may bring their own firearm or use guns provided by the club for this training session. A snack lunch or snacks is suggested.

Topics cover the skills needed to handle a loaded firearm and how to make it safe. Instructors are retired law enforcement officers who have taught this many times. Call Bob Clark at 360-929-2167 if you have any questions.
