South Whidbey Academy’s enrollment jumps

Maybe the students are just late enrollees.

South Whidbey Academy’s enrollment has jumped from 66 students in December to 77 since the new year began. In its first year as a kindergarten through 12th grade alternative program, South Whidbey Academy remains an experiment in alternative education.

District-wide, enrollment is down. About 40 fewer students are enrolled this year than the previous school year.
