Deputies arrest suspected burglar, Scatchet Head resident

A 25-year-old South Whidbey burglary suspect was taken into custody Monday.

Island County Sheriff Mark Brown asked for the community’s help last week in locating Robert Dean Burns, who was wanted on warrants out of Island County, Oak Harbor and Renton.

Burns is also a suspect in a felony burglary case in the Scatchet Head neighborhood of South Whidbey, according to Brown. That burglary involved the theft of firearms.

Burns was living in the Scatchet Head neighborhood, the sheriff said.
