"Wildlife officer speaks to clubRalph Downs, Fish and Wildlife officer for Island County, will address the Fishin' Club on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bayview Senior Center. The public is invited.Downs will discuss the current fishing rules and explain all the changes that are in effect. He will also answer questions. Downs has talked to the club in the past and his presentations are always entertaining and informative.Open gymnasium every WednesdayOpen gym basketball for adult men and women runs Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. through Nov. 15 at South Whidbey High School.Cost is $10 for 10 visits, or $2 per visit. To pre-register call Eric at 240-1322.Central Whidbey Sportsmen meetThe Central Whidbey Sportsmen's Association will hold their monthly meeting Monday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at their clubhouse located south of Coupeville on Safari Road.Persons interested in the club are welcome to attend a meeting or participate in public events. Annual family dues are $30, and facilities include trap, pistol and rifle ranges. The annual turkey shoot will be held Nov. 18 from 9 am. to 1 p.m. Call 360-678-0960 for more information. "
