"The Department of Ecology has called off the statewide ban on outdoor burning. The burn ban was enacted earlier this month because of concern over air pollution. The National Weather Service had issued an air stagnation advisory for the state because of low air circulation. The Weather Service terminated the advisory Nov. 22 because of improvements in atmospheric circulation.Ecology also canceled the all-inclusive outdoor burn ban, which leaves normal burning rules now in effect. The Northwest Air Pollution Authority did, however, send out a memo reminding residents of Island, Skagit and Whatcom counties that state law limits the amount of chimney smoke a household can emit.
