No need to bring a partner, and newcomers of all ages and abilities are welcome. All dances taught before the music begins, with basic instruction at 7 p.m. and dancing beginning at 7:30.Admission is $6 adults, $3 for children who dance. For more information call Larry, 321-1950, or Will, 221-8430.Youngman, formerly of Whidbey, moved to Snoqualmie in September 1999, to work at the Northwest Railway Museum in marketing and volunteer management. She continues to call contra dances, and in the past few weeks has called in Seattle, Port Angeles, and Vancouver, B.C. She was one of two callers at the Slugs at Sunrise weekend dance camp in 2000, and she calls contra dances for several wedding parties each year. Youngman says she fell in love with calling once she started. There's nothing quite like helping a room full of folks move in harmony, she said. I love helping people have a good time. On Whidbey there was also the bonus of discovering the great -- and I mean great -- local musicians we had and creating opportunities for them to play.Youngman taught dance through the Bayview Senior Center, and the Island County Fairgrounds provided space for the dance as well. South Whidbey Parks and Recreation is currently the sponsor. "
