FREELAND — The new South Whidbey Marina in Langley will cost $9 million.

Port commissioners decided on the final price tag for the marina makeover at a special meeting this morning.

Port commissioners do not yet known what the cost will be to taxpayers, but will have those details in hand before they vote to put the $9 million property tax levy on the ballot.

Port officials have been considering putting the proposed property tax increase on the November ballot.

Commissioners said they will vote to place the measure on the ballot at their next regular meeting on July 9.

"We want the finer details to be as accurate as we can make them," said Port Commissioner Lynae Slinden.
