Island County Sheriff seeks citizen volunteers

The South Precinct of the Island County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s on Patrol is looking for volunteers.

Citizen’s on Patrol is mainly comprised of retired community citizens. Interested people are required to participate in an interview and must pass a background investigation, training and a basic driving test.

This is an unpaid volunteer position that will work under the direction of the SCP captain, the precinct commander and sheriff’s chief civil deputy.

Anyone interested may pick up an application at the South Precinct of the Island County Sheriff’s Office, located at 5521 E. Harbor Road, Freeland.
