Hospital welcomes new commissioner

Nancy Fey, longtime North Whidbey resident and former Whidbey General Hospital pharmacist, was recently selected to help provide strategic direction for the hospital as well as represent the views of her district.

At a special meeting of the Whidbey Island Public Hospital District Board of Commissioners, the four sitting commissioners chose Fey to fill the position vacated by Dr. Roger Case who retired in June.

She will be officially sworn in and begin her term as Commissioner of District 4 at the board’s Aug. 12 meeting.
