Sheriff’s report | A missing truck, a stolen sculpture and choppup up lawn furniture

Sunday, July 28

10:32 p.m. — A caller arrived home after a day away and found their 2008 white Dodge truck missing. The truck did not have a back window and had “Landshapers” on its side door.

Monday, July 29

2:49 p.m. — Someone from Fine Art Builders in Freeland reported the theft of a water basin sculpture that was kept outside. It happened over the weekend and the caller planned to review security video.

5:45 p.m. — A woman on San Juan Avenue called and said she was unsafe after an assault occurred, though it did not involve any weapons. She refused aid but said a man and woman refused to leave.

Tuesday, July 30

7:36 p.m. — A Brainers Road resident reported that someone broke into their home and stole jewelry and a gun.

Thursday, Aug. 1

12:33 p.m. — An Old County Road resident reported two checks were missing from the mailbox. The home also operates as a business that receives a lot of mail.

10:25 p.m. — A Bailey Road resident reported neighbors, who were not supposed to be around each other, were yelling and fighting.

11:31 p.m. — A wanted person was seen at a Bailey Road residence, and a warrant for arrest for requested.

Friday, Aug. 2

12:49 p.m. — A driver was stopped on Main Street for driving with a suspended license.

6:21 p.m. — Someone reported the theft of a wallet at the Valero gas station near the Goose that occurred July 27. The credit cards were used fradulently. A deputy attempted to call the victim at several phone numbers, but was unsuccessful.

Saturday, Aug. 3

5:06 p.m. — A possible case of someone driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol was reported near Highway 525 and Bayview Road. The driver, reportedly a middle-aged woman with dark hair, was swerving in a silver Toyota Corolla within the confines of the southbound lane before turning onto Bayview Road.

6:59 p.m. — An incident of physical abuse was reported at a Maxwelton Road residence. The reporting person said they were pushed and both people had been drinking alcohol.

9:59 p.m. — Parents reported their son had chopped the lawn furniture of their Goldfinch Lane home with an axe and refused to leave. They locked the doors until their son left on foot.
