Monopoly to take over WiFire

An inaugural Monopoly championship will take over WiFire Cafe from noon to 5 p.m., Nov. 16, in Freeland.

Jackson Taylor, who finished 16th at the national championship and is the reigning Illinois state champion, is organizing this event, which is a fundraiser for Rotary Club of Whidbey Westside for service and scholarships.

Participants get lunch and snacks, and cash prizes will be awarded to finalists. To play, the cost is $40. Spectators are welcome.
