All three Whidbey Island school districts are closed today due to snow.

That includes the South Whidbey, Central Whidbey and Oak Harbor school districts for Friday, Dec. 20.

One to two inches of snow blanketed the island overnight. Highway 525 and Highway 20 are being actively plowed, though the state routes remains slick and drivers should be cautious.

Weather forecasters are predicting the arrival of a warm front today, however, and according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration it will bring rain after 10 a.m. and a high temperature of about 45 degrees.
