Sheriff's report | Mumbling, BB gun shots, porn study
The following items are 9-1-1 calls made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, south precinct.
Saturday, Feb. 8
10:24 a.m. — A caller on Sunshine Lane refused to give any info, mumbling something about the roads. The phone was passed to another female who just said, “Send a deputy, we’ve already called,” then hung up.
11:54 p.m. — A caller on Cultus Bay Road reported a male lying in the road. Caller checked on him; he was drunk and ran off.
Sunday, Feb. 9
1:22 a.m. — A caller driving on Highway 525 near Langley Road reported a male passenger was threatening to jump out of the vehicle, is obstinate and yelling. The male got out then got back in; male keeps getting out of the car while it’s moving.
2:07 a.m. — A dispatcher reported a call from a Sunlight Beach Road location, hearing “You’re not taking the motorcycle.” Male then advised his son is trying to leave and is intoxicated. Not physical yet but close.
7:41 a.m. — A caller on Woodard Avenue reported her car is stuck on the side of the road in the snow. She is in the middle of the road.
9:52 a.m. — A caller on Cultus Bay Road and Goldfinch Lane reported their car is in the ditch and partially blocking traffic. The caller said they slid on the ice.
10:25 a.m. — A caller on Bayview Road reported their vehicle blocking traffic. The driver said the car in front of him slowed down too much and he lost traction.
10:33 a.m. — A caller on Cedar Vista Drive reported a female in a vehicle broadside in the street, about 40 yards from Highway 525. The caller said she’s “refusing” to move the vehicle and started screaming at him, saying she’s waiting for someone to help.
11:50 a.m. — A caller on Mutiny Bay Road reported she went off the road, hit her head and isn’t sure if she is injured or not.
2:54 p.m. — A caller on Highway 525 said a non-profit club employee posted camera footage of someone breaking into their location. Caller says he knows the subject.
Monday, Feb. 10
2:55 p.m. — A caller on Highway 525 reported two teenage males shot at her vehicle around 10:30 a.m. with a BB gun. Her windshield was damaged.
Tuesday, Feb. 11
12:20 a.m. — A caller on Hi Crest Road reported receiving an obscene phone call. A male told her he was from the University of Minnesota and was doing a survey on attitudes of pornography. He then started breathing into the phone.
9:07 a.m. — A caller on Scatchet View Drive said her boyfriend is trying to pack her things and is threatening her. A a bow and arrow is in his room.
Wednesday, Feb. 12
2:00 p.m. — A caller at the Freeland Library reported a man was disrupting a Historical Society meeting. The subject was acting out and talking about matters that do not pertain to the meeting. He was asked to leave or be quiet, but is not cooperating.
2:34 p.m. — A caller at a Freeland grocery store reported a person was recorded on camera taking moisture cream and a razor.
3:44 p.m. — A caller on Highway 525 at the Clinton Ferry Terminal reported a female who has been loitering in the lobby at the terminal all day. The subject has been sleeping outside and the caller is concerned about her safety.
5:45 p.m. — A caller on Maxwelton Road reported an angry man is on the campus of Assembly of God Church, and is yelling at staff through a window. The caller is in a portable building and has locked the door.
