Ferries holds Mukilteo terminal public hearing

People can speak their piece at a public hearing on the proposed Mukilteo Ferry Terminal from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mukilteo City Hall.

An open house and presentation on the project will precede the hearing by the Mukilteo hearing examiner at 6 p.m. Washington State Ferries is applying for a shoreline permit from Mukilteo to replace the old terminal.

The new plan moves it less than one mile northeast to the site of a former United States Air Force oil tank farm. Ferries leaders tout the new site's proximity to the trains and expanded space for bus commuters.

Mukilteo City Hall is located at 11930 Cyrus Way. For further information, contact Patricia Love at 425-263-8041 or
