Park grants for Trillium, Glendale

Island County parks is partnering with the Whidbey Camano Land Trust to submit grant applications through the state’s Recreation and Conservation Office to the Local Parks Grant Program.

The partnership will apply for a grant for a parcel adjacent to Trillium Community Forest totaling approximately $370,000, which would be used for trail development and the construction of two parking lots.

They are also requesting grants to purchase two properties at Glendale which would provide beach access, parking and a public boat ramp. The Glendale grants total roughly $900,000 to be used for purchase, demolition and parking lot construction.
