Intern sought at Freeland ranch

The M-Bar-C Horse Ranch in Freeland is offering a summer non-paid internship program for young people ages 11 to 17.

The program provides an opportunity for youngsters to work with horses, learn about equine care, horse behavior and ranch management.

Interns will receive instruction in basic horse training techniques and learn to become better riders. They will also serve as youth volunteers, helping with horseback riding and hospitality programs for children and adults with special needs.

For details visit m-bar-c.org. Application deadline is May 15.
