Sixth Street in Langley was closed to traffic after a car fire about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police said a man driving a borrowed Volvo pulled to the side of the residential street when he noticed fluid leaking from the vehicle. Neighbors said the older-model car burst into flames and the fire fully engulfed the vehicle.

No one was injured in the fire, which drew a large crowd of onlookers. Firefighters from Fire District 3 extinguished the blaze, which singed a nearby tree and bush before it was put out.

Sixth Street was reopened shortly before 4 p.m.
