Highway striping that had been scheduled for this week in Clinton has been delayed one week until Aug. 11-13, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Workers postponed the work so they could spray lane markings and install plastic lane markings at the same time.

State officials said doing the work in one week will reduce delays for drivers.

Crews will work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday, Aug. 11, through Wednesday, Aug. 13.
