Island paving work begins again

Krieg Construction of Oak Harbor, prime asphalt paving contractor for Island County, will resume work on island streets beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Work will start on Even Down Way and head south over a four-week period, weather permitting. The company cautioned that there may be traffic delays during working hours.

Segments of several roads scheduled for paving are Conniston Way, West Beach Road, Ebey Road, Harbor Hills Drive, Furman Street, Cultus Bay Road, Fiver Place, Copse Lonin Place, Holbrook Road, King Drive, East Harbor Road, Maxwelton Road, Langley Road, Buckthorn Street, Terry Road, Nimitz Drive, Decker Road and NE Fourth Street.
