Several businesses in Clinton were robbed over the weekend, according to Island County Sheriff Deputy Lt. Evan Tingstad.

Sometime between closing on Saturday night and Sunday morning, the Clinton Food Mart's front door was smashed and thieves made off with the cash safe, containing an estimated $10,000.

The market's ATM machine was tampered with as well, but no money was taken.

Also suffering some property damage and stolen money were Mila's Cleaners and Clinton Video. Tingstad said no arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.

"If anyone knows anything about these thefts, please call our tip line at 321-5113, ext. 7319," Tingstad said. "People can also contact Detective Rick Felici at 331-4535."
