Hutchinson’s trial delayed

The trial for Ryan Hutchinson, accused of threatening to kill Island County sheriff deputies, has been continued to Oct. 21.

The trial was scheduled to start last week.

The Island County prosecutor charged Hutchinson, of Clinton, with attempted residential burglary, harassment/threats to kill and first-degree malicious mischief. He pled not guilty.

Hutchinson became combative and threatened the deputies after he was picked up in connection with a residential burglary on July 22.
