February 24, 2009 · 4:55 PM
A community meeting on proposed changes in the ferry system will be co-hosted this week by State Rep. Norma Smith and Langley Mayor Paul Samuelson. The event will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in the auditorium at Langley Middle School.
Director of Washington State Ferries David Moseley will also be attending the meeting.
“Our state marine highways are essential to the communities of Whidbey Island, and it is critical that our collective voice be heard,” said Smith, 10th District Republican from Whidbey. “Our hope is to provide an opportunity for our community to respond to the proposed ferry plans, and to offer feedback, ideas and concerns.”
