Trust looking for plant counters

The Whidbey Camano Land Trust is looking for detail-oriented volunteers to help count golden paintbrush plants at the Naas Preserve in the Coupeville area and on a few other protected Whidbey Island properties in mid- to late-May. Volunteers will record population numbers and install protective wire cages.

As the season progresses, the trust will also require several volunteers to help with seed collection.

Call 222-3310 to volunteer. The trust will provide training.
