Island County looks for board candidates

Island County is looking for candidates who can complete a term on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. The term will run until Dec. 6, 2010.
The new board member will be appointed by the board of county commissioners.
The housing authority promotes adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunities and suitable living conditions free from discrimination. The board usually meets monthly for up to two hours, and regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month except in December, when an annual meeting is held.

Application materials should be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, May 29.
