Three candidates in the race for South Whidbey port commissioner

A primary race for a seat on the board of commissioners for the Port of South Whidbey is shaping up.

Three candidates have filed for the position, now held by incumbent Rolf Seitle.

Randy Heston, Herb Helsel and Dean Enell have filed as candidates in the race. Seitle has not yet indicated if he will seek another term.

Filing week began Monday and runs through Friday, June 5.

The 2009 Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 18. The 2009 General Election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
