Bridge collapse adds to Mukilteo/Clinton Ferry traffic, delays mounting

Island County to hold special filing period

The Island County Auditor's Office has scheduled a special three-day filing period next week for four positions that lack candidates.

Candidates are still needed for Lagoon Point Water District Commissioner, Position 4 (four-year term); Long Beach Water District Commissioner, Position 2 (six-year term); North Whidbey Water District Commissioner, Position 2 (six-year term); and Penn Cove Sewer District Commissioner, Position 3 (six-year term).

The period for filing Declarations of Candidacy will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 15 through Wednesday, June 17 in the Island County Elections Office, 400 North Main St., Coupeville.
