CLINTON - Paving will take place next week on Highway 525 near the Clinton ferry dock, state Department of Transportation officials said Tuesday.

Work will begin Monday, June 22, to resurface a quarter-mile stretch of the highway.

Crews will work at night, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., between Commercial Street and Bob Galbreath Road. Work is expected to take four days and wrap up early Friday morning, June 26.

Drivers can expect minor delays, officials said.

Last summer, a materials shortage stopped crews from completing this section of roadway. Crews need warm, dry weather to pave, so the schedule may change if it rains.

Crews will return in mid-July to apply permanent striping to the new pavement, officials said.
