A 62-year-old Marysville resident parked his 1978 Chevrolet pickup on board the midnight ferry from Mukilteo to Clinton and jumped overboard Sunday.

"We checked the videotape on board the Cathlamet," said State Patrol Sergeant Trent Cain. "He left his truck, walked around the car deck, looked over the side for a moment, and jumped."

The identity of the man has not been released.

"We are conducting an investigation but we need confirmation from the family before we can release any details," Cain said.
