EDC cancels business expo

The board of the Island County Economic Development Council announced this week the 2009 Uniquely Whidbey Biz Expo would not be held.

EDC officials said the event was postponed.

“The board wants to offer our sincere regrets that the 2009 show, due to the ability of our business community to participate, forces us to postpone the 2009 expo until 2010,” EDC officials said in an e-mail message to supporters Monday.

The board also thanked those who had committed to participate in the expo.
