A public hearing on a proposed 185-acre annexation to the Freeland Water and Sewer District will be held tonight.

The undeveloped parcel abutting the district to the west is owned by Fletcher Family Ventures, said Sandy Duncan, water district administrative assistant.

The hearing will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at the district office conference room, 5492 S. Harbor Ave. in Freeland.

Duncan said that if annexation is approved, the property owner would have to pay for all connections to the district’s system.

The Freeland Water and Sewer District serves 442 customers and includes about 1,029 acres.
