Special school board meeting is tonight

The South Whidbey School District is hosting a special meeting for South Whidbey parents concerned by district actions over declining enrollment.

The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the elementary school community room on Maxwelton Road.

"The purpose is to brief parents on current enrollment, the funding implications and district Superintendent Fred McCarthy's recommended actions," said board chair Fred O'Neal.
