Hearing reset on annexation
September 25, 2009 · Updated 4:27 PM
A public hearing on a proposed 185-acre annexation to the Freeland Water and Sewer District has been rescheduled due to a typographical error in the original published announcement, said Sandy Duncan, district administrative assistant.
The new hearing will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland.
The original Sept. 14 hearing got under way, then was postponed because of the error, Duncan said.
The undeveloped parcel abutting the district to the west is owned by Fletcher Family Ventures.
Duncan said that if annexation is approved, the property owner would have to pay for all connections to the district’s system.
The proposal application and a map are available for viewing at the district office, 5492 S. Harbor Ave. in Freeland, or at www.freelandwsd.com.
