According to the draft contract, the agreement would run until Sept. 30, 2012. Tomasino would receive 36 paid days off each year, plus a $6,000-a-year transportation allowance.

The draft contract also states the hospital will pay Tomasino $230,000 if he is fired without cause, plus $15,000 in outplacement services that could include career counseling and coaching.

The hospital board meets at 6 p.m. in Conference Room A at Whidbey General.
