Jerome still leads in South Whidbey port race

Chris Jerome is still in the lead in the race for Position 2 on the board for the Port of South Whidbey.

Jerome was leading opponent Dean Enell with a 68-vote lead Tuesday night, and Wednesday, his advantage grew by five votes, to a 73-vote lead. Jerome has 1,966 votes, and Enell has 1,893, in the latest tally.

According to the latest vote count, announced by Island County on Wednesday afternoon, Jerome now has percent of the 50.95 vote, and Enell, 49.05 percent.
