Rep. Bailey to hold coffee talks in 10th District
November 11, 2009 · Updated 10:25 AM
Rep. Barbara Bailey will hold six “coffee talks” throughout the 10th District this month, starting on the South End.
The gatherings will give people a chance to share their views with the state lawmaker in an informal setting.
“I encourage folks to stop by, have a cup of coffee if they’d like and share their thoughts,” Bailey said.
“As I work on solutions for issues such as our economy, healthcare and veterans, I want to hear from those I represent,” she said. “Some of the best ideas I have carried forward in the Legislature originated from my coffee talks.”
The sessions start in Langley, with the first event at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23 at Useless Bay Coffee Co., 121 Second St.
At 10 a.m., Bailey will visit 1504 Coffee Bar, next to the Texaco on Highway 525, in Freeland.
Bailey, R-Oak Harbor, will be in Coupeville at 1 p.m. at Miriam’s Espresso Cafe, 200 S. Main St., Suite D.
This round of community meetings wraps up on Tuesday, Nov. 24, when Bailey will be at Angelo’s Caffe at 8, the Calico Cupboard Old Town Café and Bakery in La Conner at 10 a.m., and finally the Scandia Coffeehouse and Eatery in Stanwood at 1 p.m.
