The Port of South Whidbey meets tonight to welcome Curt Gordon, who will replace Lynae Slinden as commissioner representing Clinton.

Gordon will be appointed to fill Slinden’s term until January, when he takes the seat won in the recent election.

Also on the agenda are updates on design and permitting of the South Whidbey small-boat harbor project. Financial consultant Dane Anderson will talk about funding implications for the coming year, and harbormaster Rick Brewer will report on harbor operations.

Commissioners will discuss signage for Phil Simon Park and decide on the date for a grand re-opening ceremony.

The meeting is 7:30 p.m. at the Freeland Library.
