School board meets tonight in Langley

The South Whidbey School Board will meet tonight‚ one day later than normal due to Veterans Day.

A parent and student reception will be held at 5:30, before the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

Todd Brager and Skip Stephens will discuss the school-bus retrofit project. District Superintendent Fred McCarthy will talk about the parent survey and update the board on the proposed bond and levy measures that will appear on the ballot early next year.

Dan Poolman will give a financial report, and the night ends with reports from board members on federal relations, the state Legislature and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.

The meeting is at the elementary school community room on Maxwelton Road in Langley.
