Washington State Ferries is reminding travelers to be ready for heavy holiday traffic on the ferry system over the Christmas and New Year’s weekends.

Travelers are advised to give themselves extra time for ferry travel.

Sailings on the Clinton-Mukilteo route will follow a Saturday schedule on Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25, and also on New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1.

The Keystone-Port Townsend route will follow its regular weekday schedule on Christmas and New Year’s Day, but ferry officials strongly recommend that travelers on the route make a reservation.

Specific sailing times and schedules for other routes are available at www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/schedule.
