Washington State Ferries is reminding travelers about the temporary halt to ferry service on the Keystone-Port Townsend route on Saturday, Jan. 9, and Sunday, Jan. 10.

Sailings will not be held on the run so the ferry Steilacoom II can undergo an annual inspection. Travelers are advised to plan ahead, and use the Edmonds-Kingston and Clinton-Mukilteo ferries as an alternate route between the Olympic Peninsula and Whidbey Island.

Travelers should also note that the winter schedule for the ferry system starts Sunday, Jan. 3.
