Fire chief's retirement party is postponed

Fire District 3 officials said today the open house on Thursday to honor retiring fire chief Dan Stout has been cancelled due to an emergency.

The commissioners' meeting will still be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Freeland Fire Station, 5535 Cameron Road.

The retirement gathering will be rescheduled to a later date.
