A 47-year-old Freeland man was injured shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a 2006 Ford Mustang at Goss Lake Road and Melody Lane in Freeland, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Aaron M. Perry was transported to Whidbey General Hospital in Coupevile with undisclosed injuries, the State Patrol said.

The driver of the Mustang, Clay B. Kiichli, 28, also of Freeland, escaped injury, troopers said.

The use of alcohol contributed to the collision, and a charge of vehicular assault would be filed, the State Patrol said.

The Mustang received about $1,000 damage in the collision, and the motorcycle about $5,000 damage.
